Bad app. Purchased it because of me going to china, and it hardly ever worked. Had to download some free apps which worked better

Love the new features and clean new start screen come with the new version, but somehow the app is draining my battery like crazy, the iPhone settings shows 31% of the battery was used by ExpressVPN within 2 hours after a cold restart, my phone is getting hot.

So far I am more than satisfied with this VPN. It connects consistently better than others I have paid for or downloaded free. I have no issues with it.

This app has proven to be more reliable at maintaining my always on connection than many others in the store, and has been good on battery life. Until this version. I do not know if the issue is with iOS 9.3 or ExpressVPN 5 (no having come out the same day, but My battery is draining much faster now (40% in four hours yesterday with screen mostly off). IOS shows ExpressVPN as 50% of the battery usage over the last 24 hours. I used to be able to go through a 10 hour day without dropping to 60%. I do use on demand connection as I am frequently using insecure wifi hotspots. Support is investigating, but FYI. Will update this if and when this is resolved.

Ive been happy with this app using it daily for the last 6 months abroad but since the last update it kills my battery. I can barely make it through a 1-hour commute without my battery dropping to 30%!

The app works great and the connection is solid but there is a battery drain. It also can make the phone a little hot as well.

Its everything you read about, its great on my iOS device and my computer. It does everything they say and more, plus its easy to use!

The app is okay but not great. Sometimes 1 doesnt work and I will have to switch to another one. It has allowed me to watch my shows though while out of country so Im appreciative to that. Especially Hulu....glad I get to keep up with my shows.

Very stable connection in China but having difficulty and takes a while to connect recently. Never had battery issues before but latest version is draining battery very quickly and phone is getting hot.

Just use Hotspot Shield and youll be OK. Very slow download, expensive and no free trial

In the past, this app showed no battery drainage issues. I dont know if its ios9.3 or the current express VPN app, but 52% drain in about 6 hrs all due to this app is making me look at alternatives until they addresd the issue. Too bad cause the Mac OSX version is rock solid this far.

At first, I was very pleased with ExpressVPN. I had been using it from January 2016 until the end of February 2016 with no major issues. All of a sudden, when the VPN is activated, it kills the battery. In the time its taken me to write this review, my phone has died 11%. Im glad Ill be moving to a country where I dont need it, because on the iPhone 6S, this latest version is garbage. I would look to other providers if I wasnt leaving in 2 days.

Ive had some issues connecting while the protocol is set to auto. Have to use the udp most of the time. Seems to slow down my speed way more at times that what my actual download speed is. And would like to see a server speed test just like on the Mac or Windows app. To help determine the best server to connect to.

On a recent trip to China I was able to stream sites that are blocked, Netflix, Facebook and all others. Recommend it highly !

It works great in my Mac. I installed it in my iPhone 6s plus and it looks like is dropping my WiFi connection at home constantly. Really bad. Im going out of my mind. If persist I will just uninstall it from mins iphone, too bad. I just uninstalled it. That was the problem. Bad software.

In todays environment you cannot settle for simply good enough. I use this app daily on all of my mobile devices as well as base. A must have if you value your security. Give it a try and you wont look back. Rick
